Master fiddler Andre Brunet, a past Fiddle Tunes Festival faculty member, will teach a workshop and perform at the Quimper Grange in Port Townsend on February 27, 2017. The workshop will begin at 3 p.m. and the concert will begin at 7 p.m. Suggested donation is $15-$25 at the door for the concert and $15 for the workshop.
Brunet’s concert is part of an international tour to celebrate the release of his new solo CD, La Grosse Maison Rouge.
Andre played to a sold-out house in Port Townsend with his band, De Temps Antan in 2011. In this upcoming solo performance, Andre will share his love for the traditional music of Quebec, Canada bringing this exuberant music to life with his fiddling, singing and foot percussion, according to the Quimper Grange website.
