Theater Simple’s “52 PICK UP” Ends Soon!

“ An alluring romantic comedy, moving at the pace of a Tarantino film,
and as predictable as a game of Russian roulette”
The Perth Express (AU)

52 PICKUP Residency alumni Llysa Holland and Andrew Litzky of Theater Simple (a self described "peripatetic fringe company of nearly 20 years") just sent this update. The run of this truly entertaining play, written and performed by Llysa and Andrew, is almost over. If you happen to be in the Seattle area this is a great way to spend an evening with friends. From their newsletter…

What's the DEAL about 52 PICK UP? (pun intended)
52 titles of scenes about a relationship are noted on an ordinary deck of playing cards and the performance follows the order that they are arbitrarily picked up off the stage throughout the show.
Yep – at the top of the show, the actors throw a deck of cards in the air. (ever play 52 PICK UP as a kid?)The shape of the show is determined by random chance as the cards are picked up throughout the performance. No two shows will ever be the same. Promise.

The proceeds of all performances of 52 PICK UP will go to theater simple's upcoming tour to Australia and New Zealand in February and March 2010. Come to a play, support an international theater tour… Everybody wins this game! For more information and to buy tickets: 52 PICK UP Tickets
