Poets Kim Addonizio and Gary Lilley, whose poetry reading/blues performance on the final evening of the 2008 Port Townsend Writers' Conference is known as one of the most legendary performances the Conference has ever had, will be reading together on Thursday, January 21, at the Nordstrom Recital Hall, Benaroya Hall. The reading is being presented by Seattle Arts and Lectures and begins at 7:30 pm.
In 2010, poets Martín Espada (who taught at the 2005 Conference along with Addonizio) and Copper Canyon Press poet Dana Levin will be in residence, leading morning workshops. (Registration is available here, as well as by calling 360.385.3102, x117 or 360.385.3102, x131.)
Limited space remains in each of these two poetry workshops. Other poetry options at the 2010 PTWC will include a plethora of afternoon workshops in special poetry topics. These workshops go from 2 to 3:30 each day during the week of July 18-25.
