With the February 4-7 workshop in creative nonfiction now waving ever more distantly in the rearview mirror, there are only three (that's right, three!) remaining ways to access a 2010 Centrum workshop in creative nonfiction.
The first one happens during the weekend of June 3-6, for an in-on-Thursday/out-on-Sunday gathering that features workshops, readings, and special sessions, as well as personal retreat time with Brenda Miller, the author of "Season of the Body" and "Blessing of the Animals."
The other two options in immersing yourself in creative nonfiction last for a full week: July 18-25, as part of the 2010 Port Townsend Writers' Conference.
Denise's workshop will focus on generating new work based on family, while Bich Minh Nguyen's workshop will be a revision workshop for writers who want to have existing pieces looked at.
In addition to these three (three!) workshops, such nonfiction writers as Wendy Call will be leading Conference afternoon workshops. These afternoon workshops are a way to sample many different writers and styles of writing, and can either supplement a core morning workshop experience or be a way to taste the many different aspects of the writing life.
Registration for all Centrum writing workshops is available here, as well as by calling us at 360.385.3102, x131.
