Over on our Choro site, we're showcasing the work of mandolin ace Mike Marshall. Marshall, along with his band Choro Famoso, is leading a focused workshop on Brazilian choro music – an engaging style of music that formed the roots of bossa nova.

Marshall's workshop has been sold out for some time (except for pandeiro players). However, we still have a few tickets left to his Saturday, April 24 concert at the Wheeler Theater. You can purchase those tickets online. Marshall is widely regarded to be the one the finest mandolin players in the world, and it is a treat to have him back at Centrum. His performances leave audiences – and his fellow musicians – breathless. Don't miss it.
