The Calder Quartet is anchoring the 2010 Port Townsend Chamber Music Festival July 15-17, 2010, and they are one of America's finest chamber ensembles. Grounded in tradition, they also break out and perform alongside contemporary pop artists such as Airborne Toxic Event, and Andrew WK.
Invited by Artistic Director Lucinda Carver, the Calder Quartet will perform works by Mozart, Frith, Schumann, Haydn, Beethoven and Janácĕk Thursday, July 15 and Friday, July 16 at the Wheeler Theater at Fort Worden. On Saturday, July 17, we will present a special concert of Baroque music with Carver, Courtney Huffmann, Sue Feldman, and Leif Woodward at the new Quimper Unitarian Universalist Fellowship in Port Townsend.
You can purchase tickets to all concerts online, or by calling us at 800-746-1982.
Speaking of Mozart, here is a video of the Calder Quartet playing the first movement of Mozart's 'Dissonance' Quartet K.465. Enjoy!
