Caleb Klauder sings one for you…

There’s little explanation for why a small-island Washingtonian can write, play, and sing music that sounds like it should be rolling out of a Great Depression roadhouse, but there you go. Caleb Klauder, who will be teaching at Voice Works in Port Townsend this summer, has an intense love of honky-tonk and early country music. This is clearly evidenced by his latest recording, Western Country, which is infused with his dry-dusty voice and extraordinary songwriting. Here’s a video of Caleb with Reeb Willms singing an old chestnut, “Sinking in the Lonesome Sea.”
