Madrona MindBody Institute is hosting a Mardi Gras Celebration and Benefit event at Fort Worden on Saturday, February 18, 2012, beginning at 7:00 p.m.
The “Power Animal Ball” is a benefit event for one of their dancers, Laura McKim, who is facing open heart surgery.
Admission to the event is on a sliding scale from $12 to $30. The evening will feature dancing, music, foods, face painting and more!
Event Schedule
- 7:00-9:00 p.m. MaskMaking | FacePainting | Collage Arts
- 8:00 p.m. – Feeding Frenzy of Finger (paw) foods – potlatch|potLuck and watering hole opens (non alcoholic).
- 10:00 p.m. Power Animal Parade | Circle
- 10:30 p.m. “KingFisher Cake” as in Mardi Gras King’s Cake.
All species welcome and celebrated, and DJ CALEB PEACOCK and friends will “rattle your cage and let your boogie out to fly!”
