The Port Townsend Chamber Music Festival kicks off its 2012/2013 season on October 28 with a delightful program of Mozart, Schubert, Brahms and Rebecca Clarke.
Artistic Director Lucinda Carver will be joined by Sean Osborn, the youngest clarinetist ever hired by the Metropolitan Opera, and by Jonathan Moerschel, the violist from the Calder Quartet who performed to acclaim in Port Townsend in 2010.
The concert includes Schubert’s Sonata in A major for Viola and Piano (‘Arpeggione’), Rebecca Clarke’s Prelude, Allegro and Pastorale, the Sonata No. 1 in F minor for Clarinet and Piano, and finally, Mozart’s Trio in E-flat for Clarinet, Viola and Piano.
After the concert, enjoy a reception in the Fort Worden Chapel and meet the artists.
