Dan Chaon Kicks off 2013 Writers’ Conference Readings & Lectures

We’ve just released the readings and lectures schedule for the 2013 Port Townsend Writers’ Conference. These free events in the Joseph F. Wheeler Theater at Fort Worden are made possible by Humanities Washington.

The first reading of the Conference will be by Dan Chaon, the author of the short story collection “Stay Awake.” Dan also wrote the national bestseller “Await Your Reply,” which was named one of the ten best books of the 2009.

Chaon is also the author of the short story collections “Fitting Ends” and “Among the Missing,” which was a finalist for the 2001 National Book Award, and the novel “You Remind Me of Me.”

His fiction has appeared in Best American Short StoriesThe Pushcart Prize Anthologies, and The O. Henry Prize Stories. He has been a finalist for the National Magazine Award in Fiction, and he was the recipient of an Academy Award in Literature from the American Academy of Arts and Letters.
