Centrum turns 40 in 2013, and we want to invite you to celebrate with us. On April 13, 2013, we’ll head on over to the Jefferson County Fairgrounds for a season-opening clambake and dance.

We’re very excited to welcome the Louisiana roots band The Revelers – comprised of the founding members of the Red Stick Ramblers and The Pine Leaf Boys, who have joined together for their newest project which combines Swamp-Pop, Cajun, Country, Blues and Zydeco into a powerful tonic of roots music straight from Southwest Louisiana.
As individuals, they are each in high demand having performed and recorded with Natalie Merchant, Linda Ronstadt, Preston Frank, Walter Moution, Mamadou Diabate, Cedric Watson, and Tim O’Brien to name a few. As a group they play with a sense of empathy and depth that can only be fostered after years of making music together. They have all appeared on the 2011 season finale of Anthony Bourdain’s No Reservations and they also were handpicked by David Simon (producer/creator The Wire) to be featured musicians for the third season of HBO’s Treme.
Dinner will be from 5 pm to 7 pm; the dance will run from 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm. Advance tickets are not required, but once we’re full, we’re full!
