Jazz Port Townsend 2023 Schedule

Musicians come to Jazz Port Townsend to play. The week’s schedule reflects that. You’ll work and play hard while you’re here, but we sprinkle free time into the week so that you can enjoy the incredible natural beauty of Fort Worden and Port Townsend.

Here is the basic schedule for the week:

First Monday, 7/24

· 4-5:30 pm check in

· 5:00 live auditions if requested

· 8:00 welcome session

Tuesday-Thursday

· 9:00 – 10:30 am combos, vocal classes

· 10:45 – 11:45 theory/special topics

· 1:15 – 2:45 pm master classes

· 3:00 – 4:00 combos and vocal classes

· 4:15 – 6:00 faculty presents concerts

· 7:00 Evening jams and extras

Friday

“Friday Jazz Blowout.” Special sessions throughout the day including participant performances are open to workshop participants and the public.

Meals

· breakfast 7:45 am

· lunch 11:45 am

· dinner 6:00 pm

Thursday and Saturday evenings

Jazz in the Clubs

Friday evening, Saturday afternoon and bonus concert on Sunday afternoon
