Biographical Info

Andrew Heist has been attending Fiddle Tunes since 2017. He volunteered to assist the program in various roles beginning in 2018 and in 2025 he joined the Centrum staff as Program Assistant for Ukulele Week, Voice Works, and Fiddle Tunes.

Andrew has been a mainstay performer and organizer in the traditional music scene in Alaska for over twenty years and recently concluded six years of service as the President of the Board of Directors for the Alaska Folk Festival in Juneau, Alaska. After several decades in Alaska, he and his wife Erin are relocating to Washington.
