Tuition and Scholarship

PTWC with Morning Intensives $850: For writers who would like to deepen their commitment to their craft and challenge themselves in an a supportive and inclusive environment, Morning Intensive in poetry, fiction or nonfiction occur at Fort Worden state park and meets Monday-Friday from 9am-11:30 Pacific Time. These workshops focus on generating and editing work. Participants registered for Morning Intensives have access to all PTWC activities including in-person Afternoon Workshops, Craft Lectures, Panels Community Forums and Open-Mics. Space is limited.

PTWC Online $250: For writers who wish participate in the Port Townsend Writers Conference, but cannot attend Morning Intensives and do not wish to travel, we offer the PTWC Online registration option. You have access to Afternoon Workshops, Craft Lectures, Panels, Community Forums and Open-Mics. Workshops, lectures and readings are broadcast from Fort Worden and recorded for viewing by participants for one month post event.

Those who register for in-person events will need to provide proof of vaccination at the time of registration and upon arrival. Those who are unvaccinated or unable to journey to Port Townsend for in-person events are encouraged to join us for our hybrid workshops, lectures, and readings.

Scholarship Information: Centrum aims to serve a diverse range of artists and learners. We give special consideration in financial assistance to assure that our conference is inclusive to a wide range of voices and identities. We greatly appreciate any information you are willing to provide. Please explain any special considerations (such as race, gender identity, nationality, background, economic hardship, abilities) or any other information you’d like us to consider when completing your registration. Please note: A $50 deposit is due at the time of registration. Scholarships applied for after April 30th, 2022 will be approved on a rolling basis.
