Jacqueline’s new venture & online FiddleTunes

For those of you used to seeing Jacqueline Mention from the sales side of Centrum’s box office window, here she is today infront of her own store front window!  In October, Jacqueline became the new owner of Potpourri Northwest Interiors putting her own stamp on it, and renaming her store “Biquette” which was her father’s name for her!  Despite having to close to the public during the pandemic, Jacqueline was still able to continue to offer re-upholstery services. Biquette’s doors are now wide open and once inside you will find all manor of decor items selected discerningly by Jacqueline, and  which you realize you simply can’t live without.

Finding yourself in Biquette is like being transported to Mexico and Morocco from where Jacqueline sources some of her area rugs and decor items. Jacqueline also creates bespoke lamps (and can hardly keep up wth herself – they’re selling like hotcakes) in between helping customers select wallpaper, home furnishings and running her new business with the efficiency and panache you’ll remember from fom her 9 years of volunteer and box office management. If you’re beginning to feel couped up on the Olympic Peninsula, take an exotic trip to Biquette the next time you’re on Lawrence Street but don’t forget your mask!

For the next week you can experience FiddleTunes online, participate in workshops and jams and enjoy concerts. This is a great opportunity for those of you who are who usually have a volunteer’s eye view of FiddleTunes – this year you can be a participant instead! Events are free to join through Zoom – click on the links for details – you’ll also notice plenty of opportunities to contibute to the musicians’ tip jar! Who knows, this could be your first annual Fiddle Tunes attendance as a participant – FiddleTunes is well underway so don’t delay!

There is also a QUARANTINE HAPPY HOUR incorporated in this year’s FiddleTunes with a different concert each evening starting at 5.30 pm PST

Thanks for listening and stay safe.
