New! Teen Track at Fiddle Tunes

For the first time Centrum’s Fiddle Tunes workshop offers a program for teenagers embedded in the regular workshop. This track is intended for players who want to learn with their peers, or for players too advanced for the Kids Track. The Teen Track is designed for players age 13-17. All abilities are welcome.

Teen Track tuition is $175 and includes admission to everything – workshops, in-house concerts, dances, etc., and great seats at all public performances. But it also includes the following sessions exclusive to the teen track:

Monday, July 1 through Friday, July 5

  • 9:00 – 10:15: Fiddling for Teens, taught by Sami Braman, Leo Shannon, and Riley Calcagno.
  • 1:30 – 3:00: Teen Band Lab led by The Onlies (pictured above)

Teen Track participants (under 18) must be accompanied by a registered adult with the following exception: if you are local and your teen won’t be staying at Fort Worden, you may come in to the Centrum office and sign a waiver.

People registered in the Teen Track are encouraged to attend orientation on June 30 at 7:45pm in McCurdy Pavilion. If you will be staying in the dorms, check-n starts at 4pm at the Centrum office. If you’re not staying at the fort, you can check-in at 7:30 at McCurdy Pavilion.

Scholarship funds are available for this program, a $50 deposit is required to register/apply.
