Join residents manuel arturo abreu, Daniel Coka, Rachel Jensen, Dori Hana Scherer, Asia Tail, Khadija Ann Tarver, and garima thakur as they open up their studios to the public after being in residence for three weeks. Artists will be around to share and answer questions about their works in process. Light refreshments will be served.

Centrum’s Emerging Artist Residency was started in 2014 in response to a regional need to better support visual artists in the early stages of their careers. During the month-long residency, artists are able to enrich their practices with a cross-fertilization of cultural and artistic points of view. Residents are encouraged to use the time for whatever is needed in their practice, be it project-specific work, time to reflect on their work, or time to experiment with new directions and ideas.
