Master musician and educator, Matt Munisteri returns to Centrum in May to lead an all-star cast of vintage jazz musicians and participants who are devoted to the music of the 1920s and 30s. This year’s workshop will be in-person and also cater to players who want to register for online content.
From Hot Jazz to Western Swing, Rags to Beguines, we’ll be offering Red Hot in-person classroom instruction in guitar, banjo, mandolin, fiddle, steel guitar, tenor guitar and bass at Fort Worden State Park. Vaccination will be required for all faculty and participants attending in-person. Many classes will be available for audit online for those who are not able to attend in-person for whatever reason.

On campus will have two options for participant housing: 14 private rooms in the Reunion House up the hill above the JFK Hall, this will be our Jam House. There is a large common area off the large kitchen. Folks staying here understand there could be music playing at any hour. We will also have 43 east facing private dorm rooms in 225. There will be for folks who like a quiet night’s sleep and the morning sunrise coming in over the Salish Sea to wake them.
