Biographical Info

Rebecca is a Moroccan-American singer-songwriter, heavily influenced by spiritual and folk traditions from the Middle East/North Africa, South America, as well as contemporary music genres from the West. Born to a classically trained opera singer and a natively born Moroccan father, she brings a unique blend of vocal techniques, and influences. She has facilitated music for concerts, retreats around the world, festivals, sound journeys, and hosts songwriting groups for both youth and adults.

Her passion lives at the intersection of music, humanitarianism, and cultural exchange. Through community engagement initiatives, she seeks to create spaces where individuals can come together, sharing their stories in the spirit of empathy and healing. Drawing from a background in social work, she employs trauma-informed care methodologies that have been honed through global fieldwork, working with diverse and marginalized communities. From orphanages in India to serving houseless and at-risk youth domestically, she has used creative arts as a vehicle for cross-cultural connection and healing.
