It would be hard to overstate how pleased we are to be presenting our first public concert in 18 months. Even so, we are taking precautions to minimize risks. The audience will sit on the grass outside the McCurdy Pavilion in carefully measured and distanced segments. And they’ll be listening to Live Jazz. And not just any Live Jazz. The concert will feature John Clayton, Artistic Director and bass; Dick Oatts, alto sax; Terell Stafford, trumpet; Wycliffe Gordon, trombone; Dawn Clement, piano; Miles Okazaki, guitar; Marion Hayden, bass; and Carl Allen, drums. Please join us as we celebrate the return of live music to Centrum and Fort Worden State Park. It’s bound to be an emotional day.

Join us in celebration of gathering (according to governor’s guidelines) for a live in-person outdoor concert on Littlefield Green! The Acoustic Blues workshop itself is online this year but a few faculty artists on the West Coast are traveling to Port Townsend to offer one in-person live performance from a stage built just inside Fort Worden State Park’s McCurdy Pavilion doors – for YOU our beloved audience – on the green!
There will be ‘pods’ for you and your party to sit in with distance guidelines according to Covid-compliance. Assisted listening devices are available upon request and a sign-language interpreter will be on stage during performance. If there are mobility challenges or other things we can help with please let us know – come celebrate with us!
