On Friday, June 12 we witnessed something truly remarkable. The evening was made unforgettable by Bonnie Raitt, whose performance reminded all of us why live music is irreplaceable. We were equally proud to share our gala with Port Townsend’s own Ben Shafer and Jade Katz, two young artists whose talent and spirit are very much at the heart of what Centrum is about.

With the extraordinary generosity of our community, the Centrum Benefit Concert and Gala raised nearly $700,000 in gross receipts, a big increase over last year. We are moved, grateful, and inspired by what this means for the artists, students, and audiences whose lives Centrum touches every year.

Our community makes our work possible. The events, artist residencies, workshops, young musicians working in collaboration, writers finding their voice—this is what your gift helps sustain.
