Our Communiversity arts and lectures series continues in 2021, beginning on Monday, March 1 with National Geographic photographer, Joel Sartore. Joel created the National Geographic Photo Ark, a multiyear effort to raise awareness of and find solutions to some of the most pressing issues affecting wildlife and their habitats. The project aims to document every species living in the world’s zoos and wildlife sanctuaries, inspire action through education, and help save wildlife by supporting on-the-ground conservation efforts.
We also welcome New York Times bestselling author Sarah Vowell to Centrum on Monday, April 12. By examining the connections between the American past and present, Vowell offers personal, often humorous accounts of American history as well as current events and politics. Her most recent book, Lafayette in the Somewhat United States, explores both the ideas and the battles of the American Revolution. She is also the author of essay collections, The Partly Cloudy Patriot and Take the Cannoli. |
