Javier Peñalosa M. writes poetry, children’s literature, and scripts for movies and television. He is the author of the poetry collections Aviario, Los trenes que partían de mí, Los que regresan, H and Dandelion. As a writer he has received fellowships and awards in Mexico and abroad. Currently he is part of Sistema Nacional de Creadores de Arte. His book Los que regresan (What Comes Back) was published in 2024 by Copper Canyon Press, with an English translation by Robin Myers. Some of his poems have been translated and have appeared in anthologies, magazines, movies, and plays. He facilitates creative writing workshops for children and adults and collaborates on various multidisciplinary projects.
