2021 Emerging Artist Residency Deadline for Applications: APRIL 30
Do you know someone who has been building their momentum in the visual arts? Someone who has received some recognition but is on the cusp of breaking through to the next level? Are you that person? There is still time to apply! Centrum is proud to continue its annual Emerging Artist Residency program from October 1-31, 2021. Each year, a panel of jurors made up of curators, EAR alumnx, and artists selects six artists from across the Northwest (Alaska, Washington, Oregon, Montana, Idaho, and British Columbia) to receive a $1,500 stipend and a month of lodging, studio, and community support.

Accepting “wait list” residency applications for Fall 2021
We are all still reeling a bit from the effects of 2020’s cancellations and rescheduling, and are encouraging folks who live regionally (within easy driving distance) to apply to be on our wait list for last-minute openings in our calendar for the remainder of 2021. Fees apply to these residencies. If you have significant financial barriers for us to consider, please enter that information in your application and we will do our best to accommodate. Mark your calendars and start thinking about your residency proposals! We are so excited to be re-opening our application and scholarship programs for January-May 2022. Centrum is pleased to share an announcement from our partner, Corvidae Press, who is currently accepting entries for an upcoming exhibition.
THE PRINTMAKER’S HAND V is a biennial juried show of fine, hand-pulled prints by contemporary printmakers, sponsored by Corvidae Press. Showcasing both traditional and new approaches to techniques including intaglio, relief, lithography, serigraphy, and mixed media hand-pulled prints, this show will be juried by Marit Berg, Art Professor and Printmaker, Tacoma Community College, Tacoma, WA. A number of pieces will be selected to be displayed at Northwind Art, Main Gallery, 701 Water Street, Port Townsend Washington from September 2-October 31, 2021. Learn more and apply here. Questions?
