Biographical Info

A passionate advocate for music, Matt has been a lifelong avid listener, collector, and radio host. A former salmon and herring fishery biologist and longtime Alaska resident, he has worked for the National Park Service, the US Forest Service, and the State of Alaska across a large swath of the northern state. Studying geology at UMass Amherst during a long tenure as a New England resident, and later in the northwest as a WWU graduate student, Matt caught the infectious Alaskan daydream lurking in Bellingham, Washington and made his way north. He is ecstatic to be back in the northwest and helping to nurture the next great generation of musicians that will bring inspiration to tomorrow. Matt spends his free time hiking, backpacking, skiing, and writing.
