2022 Blues Workshop In-Person and Online

Early Blues and New Blues in 2022

Daily classroom instruction in traditional acoustic blues, its history, songs, and styles as well as technical skills, movement forward and how to play well with others in the form. Afternoons include ensemble playing and evenings present faculty concerts celebrating various regional styles, both traditional and moving the genre forward. playing music and jamming happens in between and after everything, sometimes replacing sleep so catch up on that now!

Up -to-date vaccination will be required for all faculty and participants attending in-person.

Each artist will teach one of their classes in our broadcast rooms. For those who are not able to attend in-person for whatever reason, these sessions will be available for audit online.

People gather here to participate in arts and music events, woodworking classes, conferences, camping and outdoor activities, family reunions, weddings, and much more. Originally designed as a military base to protect Puget Sound, Fort Worden evolved into an iconic and cherished state park. The fort – featuring 100 historic structures – spans two miles of saltwater shoreline with views of the Olympic and Cascade Mountains, and the San Juan Islands.
