I welcome you to our 2023-24 season of thrilling chamber music at Centrum. Since 1979, our Chamber Music Series has brought some of the most talented musicians and their remarkable instruments to the Wheeler Theater stage. In addition to presenting the world’s top talents (including the Kronos Quartet, Anonymous 4, and so many others), nurturing the next generations of chamber musicians is central to our mission at Centrum, not only through our regular performances, but also via our weeklong Chamber Music Intensive, which will take place again this year at the end of May.

During Centrum’s 50th anniversary in 2023, we were privileged to host three of the finest string quartets performing today—the Ying, Dover, and American String Quartets. On October 29th, we warmly welcome Viano for a special 50th Anniversary concert at the Wheeler, and we’re thrilled to bring back the American Quartet this year along with a cadre of my closest musical colleagues from Los Angeles for a most memorable season curated just for you.
