We are very excited to be able to announce our first writing workshop of 2010, a creative nonfiction craft-techniques class. It will take place February 4-7, 2010, at the Fort Worden State Park campus, and feature Judith Kitchen, one of the finest writers and teachers of the craft of writing in the world today.
Judith is the author of Only the Dance (essays), Distance and Direction (essays), and The House on Eccles Road (novel), which was awarded the S. Mariella Gable Prize in fiction. Recent essays have appeared or are forthcoming in Prairie Schooner, The Georgia Review, Brevity, and Waccamaw.
In addition, she has edited three collections of nonfiction (In Short, In Brief, and Short Takes) for W. W. Norton, and recently co-edited an anthology with Ted Kooser, The Poets Guide to the Birds.
