For the past 10 years, Voice Works faculty member Aoife O’Donovan has fronted the sizzling alt-bluegrass/string band Crooked Still . Aoife also composes, records and performs her own music, and is a regular contributor to other artist’s musical projects. Aoife recently leant her voice to the riotous collaboration of cellist Yo-Yo Ma, bassist Edgar Meyer, fiddler Stuart Duncan and Punch Brothers mandolinist Chris Thile, producing a once-in-a-lifetime CD on Sony Masterworks called The Goat Rodeo Sessions. Aoife is featured on two tracks on the album, both are duets with Thile. Here’s a video of the recording session:
