On the evening of August 8, composer and instrumentalist Stuart Dempster will give a free performance in the underground Fort Worden Cistern—a two-million-gallon former water tank that has a forty-second reverberation. The cistern is actually located beneath the wide lawn pictured to the right! Speakers will conduit the music out onto the lawn above the cistern. Bring a blanket or lawn chairs to enjoy a soft summer evening on the top of the hill, while listening to the beautiful, ethereal tones of one of the Pacific Northwest's most highly sought-after performers.
