Lauded by Classical Guitar magazine for their “maturity of musicianship and technical virtuosity,” the Brasil Guitar Duo has captured audiences for over twenty years with their innovative programming. They joined cellists Yo-Yo Ma and Carlos Prieto for the October 2014 world premiere a work by the esteemed Cuban composer Leo Brouwer.
The Duo actively strives to expand the repertoire for two guitars and creates a seamless blend of classical guitar repertoire with such traditional Brazilian dance forms as choro, samba, maxixe, and baião.
