CAN member and Jazz bassist Bruce Phares first joined Centrum as a Jazz workshop participant in the mid 80s. He is located in the PNW and  on select Saturdays or Sundays of the first weekend of each month, he invites heralded and accomplished musician friends and colleagues to fill the Atrium space at Vashon Center for the Arts with high-quality live jazz. Each performance spotlights award-winning jazz luminaries, interspersed with conversations with the visiting guest artists about their perspectives on their respective instruments, and the jazz idiom at large. Performances are free to the public!
