Three extraordinary poets will grace the stage of The Chapel on December 13, 2025 for a special evening of poetry and onstage conversation. Jennifer Chang, Leila Chatti, and Jenny George will be in Port Townsend to celebrate the publishing legacy and accomplishments of internationally renowned poetry press Copper Canyon — a fixture here since 1974 — and mark Winter Solstice and the turning of the seasons. All three poets are published by Copper Canyon, and Michael Wiegers, the press’s Executive Editor & Artistic Director, will moderate an onstage conversation with the poets. Bertolt Brecht asked, in 1939, “In the dark times will there also be singing?” Yep, definitely. Join us for light amid the season’s dark.

Note: The Chapel is located just inside the main gate of Fort Worden to the left. Parking is free and plentiful.
