Rowen Foster (they/them) is an interdisciplinary artist based in Seattle, WA. Rowen creates life-like hybrid creatures and prosthetics with materials like silicone, gelatin, foam, and fibers using various life-casting and moldmaking techniques. They facilitate conversations around gender and queerness through sculpture, performance, and writing, synthesizing disparate topics and genres like horror and fantasy with queer/disability/affect theory and late-stage capitalist critique. Most recently they’ve been working on developing custom gender affirming prosthetics as well as creaturesque prosthetics and wearables for drag, fashion, and performance.
