Give Big to Support Arts Education! May 3-4

At Centrum, we never lose sight of the time and dedication it takes to build community and the devotion that defines the lifelong pursuit of artistry and creative achievement. As we eagerly prepare to come together again this summer for in-person workshops and performances, we appreciate even more what it takes to be an artist—and what it means to support the arts.

This is your chance to GIVE BIG!

With a mission to foster creative arts experiences that change lives, Centrum has brought together aspiring and master musicians and artists to share skills and mentorship in traditional and evolving arts for nearly 50 years. In our signature week-long, full-immersion residential programs a diverse array of learners–including youth and adults of all ages–live and study alongside renowned musicians and artists. The community is invited to public performances featuring faculty and participants from the programs. Our offerings for learners of all ages include voice, fiddle, creative writing, jazz, blues, chamber music, choro, storytelling, and ukulele. Artist residencies serve professional and emerging artists. We provide direct scholarships in excess of $150,000 to enhance participant access and diversity.

Centrum was created in partnership with the Washington State Arts Commission, State Parks, and Office of Public Instruction during the founding of Fort Worden State Park in Port Townsend, WA, with the goal of establishing a public campus for life-long learning. The Park’s location on the Olympic Peninsula with over 400 acres of historic buildings, forest, trails, and beaches sets the stage for creativity discovery and immersive arts experiences.

Your support allows hundreds of artists and learners to continue their journeys. Here are some of the ways your support makes an impact:

$100

offers a local artist-in-residence an art, dance, or writing studio for a week so that they can create new work to enrich the community
