July 10 Free Fridays at the Fort Showcases Eduardo Mendonça

Bring a picnic blanket and some low-back chairs and enjoy Centrum’s annual Free Fridays at the Fort series. This lunchtime concert series on the lawn of the Nora Porter Commons is free to the public

On Friday, July 10, 2015 at 12pm, enjoy the Brazilian musical stylings of Eduardo Mendonça.

Mendonça is a Brazilian recording artist, vocalist, composer, percussionist, guitarist, and musical arranger, who was born in Salvador, Bahia, Brazil. He performed as featured musician in many venues in Bahia – Brazil, including command performances for Brazilian President João Baptista Figueiredo and for Pope John Paul II. He had the honor to play for the former South Africa President Nelson Mandela, and has also performed in ensembles throughout the world.

Mendonça’s solo performance showcases Bossa-Nova, Brazilian standard tunes, MPB (Brazilian Popular Music) and original tunes.
