Overview

Centrum seeks someone with a vision for the next chapter of programming and a passion for supporting artists and creatives in their need for time, space, and resources to help them thrive and build community. At this pivotal moment, the organization is launching a new series of public-facing residencies, In the Making, alongside its established programs including the Emerging Artists and Writers Residency, the Curatorial and Arts Worker Residency, and Self-directed Residencies. These comprehensive offerings collectively attract over 500 applications annually. Over the past decade, a burgeoning network of curators, artists, writers, and professionals have contributed to the selection and curation of residents. In anticipation of ongoing renovation to lodgings and studio spaces, the new role will involve aligning the residency program’s development with Centrum’s strategic goals, determined collaboratively with the Executive Director and fellow Program Managers. The chosen candidate will also oversee the administration, promotion, and community engagement activities for residencies, bringing along a strong network in regional and national artist communities. This is a senior staff position, promising to be a significant opportunity for contribution and impact in the organization’s future growth. This is a full-time exempt position, located in beautiful Port Townsend, WA. The hourly pay range for this position is $25 – $30, depending on experience.
