Centrum’s Staff, Board, and volunteers are united in a proactive approach to mitigate the impact and spread of coronavirus in our region. As leaders in the Washington arts community, it is imperative to lead through our actions. We put the public interest ahead of our own.
Centrum is working in collaboration with our partners at the Fort Worden Public Development Authority, Washington State Parks, Washington Department of Health, and Jefferson County Public Health to respond appropriately to the burgeoning pandemic.
The commitment to postpone or cancel programs is one we take seriously, with profound care and concern for the livelihood and vitality of working artists, our faculty, participants, and arts educators, as well as our dedicated hourly staff and production crews.
Our staff will be beginning a mandatory work-from-home policy beginning Wednesday, March 18. We may be reached at our regular telephone extensions and via e-mail, per usual.
Regular updates on coronavirus in our area are being posted regularly here.
We will announce impacts on our workshops, lectures, concerts, and artist residencies on this page, as they are confirmed.
SPECIAL NOTICE: For any canceled Centrum performances, our box office will issue automatic ticket refunds to the original method of payment on file. [If you paid by credit card, the refund will be issued to that same card. If you paid by check, Centrum will mail you a refund by US Mail.] Where we can, Centrum is endeavoring to reschedule concert engagements rather than cancel them. Nonetheless, patrons may expect full refunds for any canceled performances. There is no need to contact the box office. Thank you for your gracious understanding.
