A series of concerts from Centrum’s 2018 Jazz Port Townsend will air on Sunday afternoons at 2 PM Pacific on Jazz Northwest  from 88.5 KNKX and stream worldwide at knkx.org.  The concerts include seven different jazz ensembles ranging from trio to 18 piece big band.

The first concert airing August 5, 2018 will feature an all-star trio playing together for the first time at Jazz Port Townsend. The trio includes veteran guitarist Dave Stryker, pianist Justin Kauflin and bassist and singer Katie Thiroux.  All three are recording and touring artists who also lead their own groups.

Additional concert broadcasts this month: Terell Stafford Quintet, August 12, Jeff Hamilton Trio, August 19, and singer Jazzmeia Horn, August 26. Jazz Northwest is recorded and produced by host Jim Wilke for 88.5 KNKX.  After broadcast, programs are available for streaming at jazznw.org.
