The Titan of the Telecaster, Bill Kirchen’s signature sound has been dubbed “Dieselbilly” – part country, blues, rockabilly, Western swing, hillbilly boogie, laced with a healthy dose of American truck driving music.
He’ll be at Voice Works this summer, teaching you to twang! Here’s an extended version of his ever-changing Hot Rod Lincoln, in which he pays homage to the defining sounds of American popular music – including Johnny Cash, Duane Eddy, Roy Orbison, Johnny Rivers, Marty Robbins, John Phillips Sousa, The Ventures, Chuck Berry, The King family (BB, Albert, Claude, Billie Jean, etc.) and a dozen others.
He also works in imitations of a Great Lakes freighter, police sirens, semi-trucks, an accelerating Cadillac, a tennis game, Pong, and a banjo.
