June Chamber Music Ensembles Announced

Lucinda Carver and Gregg Miller are proud to announce the selection of The Lumin Quartet and Solideo Quartet as ensembles-in-residence for our June Chamber Music Workshop, June 4-14.

The Solideo Quartet is a promising string quartet eager to explore music that has withstood time past and present. Just as each member comes from a different part of the nation, the quartet seeks to share that chamber music can bring people from diverse communities together into unity. The Solideo Quartet is the Graduate Quartet in Residence with the admired mentors and internationally-acclaimed Jupiter Quartet.

The Lumin Quartet was founded in the summer of 2019 at Center Stage Strings, where they were placed in the Accelerated String Quartet Program. Their quartet was selected to perform the entire Schumann Op. 41 No. 1 quartet in concert. There, they also performed Schubert’s Death and the Maiden, Beethoven Op. 59 No.2, and the Schumann Piano Quintet. Based in Ann Arbor, they have performed in outreach concerts at the Glacier Hills Retirement Center and in the School of Music’s ChamberFests.

Founded in 2015, the Centrum Chamber Music Workshop fosters the highest level of training and coaching for pre-professional chamber musicians in community with leading faculty chamber artists; in 2022, with the Dover Quartet.
